Question

Adobe Acrobat Pro Dc not working on Mac

When I want to compress, organize or anything else, Adobe tells me to purchase again even though I already have the package. If I try to purchase again, it says that I already have it and therefore can not have it again. What do I do? Thanks 🙂

Hi Gabriella,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is not working, correct?

++ Adding on to the discussion

Checking the details with the email you have on used on thecommunity ,we see that you don't have an active plan for Adobe Acrobat DC. However, you do have a plan for Adobe PDF pack - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/document-cloud/faq/adobe-pdfpack-faq.html. So you can use the PDF pack services through Adobe Acrobat Reader (Freeware) - https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Download the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on your computer and login with the Adobe ID (Email used for the PDF pack subscription) to use the PDF pack services.

Also, you can use  the services online - https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/

Let us know how it goes.

Regards

Amal

Hi GabriellaMMM,

I am not sure which person were you addressing to in your last reply.

Did you try the suggestions I've shared here plus Amal recommendations in the links that he posted?

Are you saying that you tried all suggestions and nothing works?

Just for the records these are all troubleshooting recommendations, none of them are solutions until you actually use one that works that resolved the issue and then mark the answer as correct answer.

My main recommendation is always to disable resource intensive apps first, like the Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Then  download the full offline Adobe Acrobat Pro standalone  installer from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

This will install the latest version  for paid subscription without the need to run the CC Desktop App nor going online through the Creative Cloud service.

For the correct results, you may need to manually uninstall completely the current version that you have.

Then install this setup program and activate  your Acrobat by logging in with your user account from within the Acrobat application.

Try one or all of these three approaches (just a suggestion and see if it helps):

1) Uninstall / reinstall using the Adobe Cleaner/Repait tool

2) OR, try to uninstall and reinstall the application using the Adobe CC Desktop app

3OR, go online and login to your adobe.com user account and also try uninstalling and reinstalling the application from there

When logged in to your online user account also check if th elicensing plan that you've acquired is shared in more than one device (or computer); disable the other device(s) if you are not using them and only activate on the computer that you are currently working with Adobe Acrobat
