Question

Adobe won't let me remove author name from comment

I googled how to do it, but when I pull up properties for comment, author name is lightly shaded gray and won't let me delete the author name for the comments. Is this because something embedded in the original document is preventing that?

Hi Sherry MI,

Sorry for the delayed response.

Have you tried unchecking "locked" under text box properties for ex. and check if that works? (below is the screenshot)

Is this in Adobe Acrobat, or the free Adobe Reader? Is the document protected? You can find out by bringing up the document information dialog (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D), then go to the "Security" tab. Are there any restrictions listed?

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Document properties Security tab says "No Security" and everything allowed.
