After Migration Assistant my Acrobat Pro doesn't work...

I have two Macbook Pro laptops that each have various working applications.

I bought each laptop used but "fully loaded." I have no DVDs or separate serial numbers (only what is in the software About's).

I read that one can use Migration Assistant to copy applications from one Mac to another. So I tried it. I *only* selected Applications to be migrated. Nothing else. It seemed to work.

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro on the newer laptop (OSX 10.13) that I copied the Applications *to*. It always worked fine. The old laptop (OSX 10.11) does not have this program at all. But now AAP doesn't work on my newer laptop. It lost the function that it had before the migration. Even though I can't see what what related to it that might've copied over to affect it. It's trying to "set-up software" and offers me a trial...

What could have changed?

Thankfully all the other Adobe CS Suite software that I had on my newer laptop still works.

I have no idea how to undo or even find the changes that Migration Assistant made. And I understand that since I don't really know what happened that this might not be a good place to ask.

Whew. By trying to add software I sure didn't want to lose what I already had! Any ideas?

It is fairly proven that Migration Assistant doesn't do a proper job for Adobe software. You do need to reinstall. And you do need your serial number. Whoever preloaded your laptops should have provided them. Note that CS, CS2, CS3 and Acrobat 7 and 8 can no longer be activated, so you can't ever get them working if uninstalled. And bear in mind no software made before 2019 will work on the current macOS, "Catalina" (10.15).
