Automatic OCR & "Enhance Scans": same thing? What options lead to least compression?

Where are the options for the OCR that turns on when you click "Edit PDF" - is this the "Enhance" and "Recognize text" options under "Enhance Scans"? ( I ask because changing the options Enhanced Scans seem to alter the automatic OCR output though not consistently) Which options lead to the least compression? For example in "Enhance" I just want to "Deskew" a page but it doesnt do anything unless I also check "Recognize Text" but the later (confusingly inconsistently) lowered the quality considerably more than one would expect from mere text rotation.

You need not to check Recognize text if you want to apply Compressions/Deskew.

G to Tools> Enhance scans> Enhance> Scanned document> Settings(*)

Uncheck Recognize Text and change compression setting as you want.

Hope it will resolve your issue.

Thanks.

Like I said unless I check Recognize Text it wont Deskew the text at all. And Compression is something I want to avoid- and Enhance Text does it drastically. Also why is there no "undo" option for Enhance Scan when there is one for OCR (and are the two the same thing)?

Edit: I.e. when the page "converts to text" it automatically rotate/skews (and I dont know why) but it also compresses like hell but the only options in OCR are "Recognize Text In" and "Make All Pages Editable."
