can't convert PDF from adobe acrobat pro 10.1.16 to Word

Question

I exported an Adobe CC 2017 InDesign document to PDF. Now I want to "Save As" a Word doc, but I have an older version of Acrobat Pro (10.1.16) and I keep getting a message that says "Save As failed to process this document. No file was created." Do I HAVE to have the newest Acrobat Pro to do this? It's for a friend and I can't really afford to pay for two programs right now.

Without seeing the file, it's impossible to say why it would not convert. One thing you can try (don't do this on the computer that has Acrobat X installed - you may have to reinstall Acrobat X after that), is to download the 7 day trial version of Acrobat DC Pro and see if that can export the file.
