Can't install Acrobat DC on my new Macbook Pro

Community Beginner ,
Mar 17, 2019 Mar 17, 2019

I'm trying to install the latest version of Acrobat DC on my new Macbook Pro 2018 running Mojave 10.14.3.

I get the error message 7 And checking the log

ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully.

ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer Acrobat DC/Acrobat DC Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1

I have tried the list of recommended procedures from Adobe without success.

And I've checked the forums only to find advice several years old that doesn't seem to apply to my setup.

And I've tried the AdobeAcrocleaner tool that said I don't have any old software installed.

Have I missed something obvious? Please Help.

I'm going to try the direct download (thank you for the link) and in the meantime, wanted to share the errors I get.

I sometimes get up to 83% installed but more like 73% and then get a failure notice.

See attached images below

I tried restarting. Checking system software updates, etc. and I also have a new MacBook Pro. Nothing works. So, will try the direct download for now and crossing my fingers.

Frustrating.

Sequence of events here in screenshots.

Adding … I *think* the direct download installed but now having issues with saving PDFs. I can perform actions but cannot save or save as.

Absolutely nothing. I get this empty screen (below)

It just hangs there.

Follow up. I think this may be a reason why I can't save.

I got an error and when I tried to re-install, I was told I would have to re-write over the existing installation so I opted not to. But since I was having trouble saving, decided to write over and got this same message (below).

So … no luck. Can't install the direct download and cannot install via Creative Cloud.

FYI — I'm on an enterprise account through school but this never happened to me on my previous installs.

Also, I logged out and un-installed all Adobe products from my old laptop before installing on my new MacBook Pro.

Alll system software, etc. is updated so … IDK. Help from Adobe would be nice. It is going to get mission critical for me very soon …

Try this: Go to Edit (or the application menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - General and disable "Show online storage when saving files" and "Show online storage when opening files".

This worked out perfectly! Amazed.

Now if only I can figure out why the CC install keeps failing.

Alas … and at least the direct install works.

Thank you!!
