Canon XPS print driver

We have been looking at replacing our Canon IPF 8400S wide format printer with the Canon IPF 4000S. The latter doesn't seem to have a postscript driver but an XPS driver instead.

Has anyone had experience printing with this driver from Adobe applications?

An XPS driver would offer none of the special features of a PostScript driver. Such as CMYK support.

Ah, I see it's 8 color so CMYK would not be a good choice anyway. What other PostScript features do you use?

Actually, it's supposed to have 11 Lucia inks plus a Chroma Equalizer. I would usually consider a PS driver to be more compatible with all the Adobe apps.... faster printing, better gradients, no emulation, those kinds of things.
