I have hundreds of individual jpeg files that I need to convert to PDF's. The pdf's need to all have 1" margins so that I can apply bates numbers and header and footers, and print without having to individually edit them. Can someone please tell me how to do this? I've spent so much time trying to figure this out. I've linked a pdf that shows what the pdf's look like after converting.

Try Adobe Bridge. It's free.

  1. Go to the Output workspace, then the Output pane.
  2. Choose custom page size
  3. Enter your dimensions (I used 54 x 40 cm).
  4. Then choose 4cm margins.
  5. Uncheck "Include file name."
  6. Drag your jpegs to the layout.
  7. Click Export.

You'll need to choose whatever the apprpriate dimensions and margins are for your images. But this should get you headed in the right direction.

  1. Open the resulting PDF file in Acrobat.
  2. Go to the Organize Pages tool.
  3. Choose split, Split by 1 page.
  4. Then in your Output options, choose where you want the files to save.
  5. Click the Big blue Split button.

DONE.

Here is an article about the Split pages function.

I'd use a tool like InDesign, designed to collate images into documents with page properties, headers and footers, numbering. When finished, convert to PDF.

Ah, but I misread. That assumed you wanted to combine the JPEGs into one PDF.
