Digital Signature does not Print

Question

We have a measurement software that applies the digital signature (using the digital signature certificate) when the pdf is created.  The signature shows on the pdf on the screen, but does not show in the print preview screen nor does it actually print.  I have tried selecting Document & Stamps and Document & Markups, but it still does not print nor show in print preview.  What could be the issue?

It's possible the author of the form had set up this field as being non-printable.

I'd say it would be good practice to make the appearance non-printable, because otherwise it encourages people to look at the paper to decide if the document is signed. This offers no value or security, and could be faked in seconds, so people need to be trained to never do this.
