I've purchased a lifetime adoble license (Acrobat Pro 2017) for Windows, When I use Digital Signature the application freezes and crashes. I tried different PC but still the same, here are the steps I do:

Here are the steps that I follow to create digital signature :

  1. Click on Certificate and then select Digital signature   “ A window will come up, asking to specify the place for the signature “
  2. Then easily drag the mouse to create a rectangular as a location for the signature “ A window will come up, with an option to create Digital signature “
  3. When I click on “Create Digital signature”Button, the software will freeze and not response anymore, it supposed to come with three option to create digital signature but it does not.
  4. I've read this article on adobe forum but it didn't help :Can't Sign In Acrobat DC, get loading icon instead?

Thanks for your help!

Hi azadf,

Sorry for the delay in response.

As per the issue description mentioned above, Acrobat 2017 is crashing when trying to sign a pdf using certificate signature, is that correct?

Could you try following troubleshooting steps:

Launch Acrobat > click Edit > Preferences > Signatures > Creation & appearance > More

Uncheck the box next to "use modern user interface for signing documents..."

Relaunch Acrobat and check.

If that doesn't work, check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here:  Adobe software and product updates

Is there any error message when Acrobat crashes?

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know how it goes.
