Embedding Fonts in Editable PDF using Acrobat Pro DC

Question

I have designed a PDF I'm trying to make editable (using the prepare form option in Acrobat Pro DC) and I'm struggling with 2 issues (currently)

1--a font I have installed on my computer, and used in Illustrator to create my original design isn't showing up as a font I can select in the text field setting when I am in Acrobat Pro DC creating the text form and setting the font, size, color etc.

2--Is there a way to embed the fonts in the editable PDF so the end user does NOT have to download the fonts on their machine in order to make their edits (to the PDF I created.)?

I've been googling, and searching YouTube, and I'm not coming up with the answers to my questions--perhaps I'm not using the correct terms? Any help would be appreciated!

Be sure to use a TrueType or an OpenType font, without embedding restrictions.

1) all fonts on the system should be available for form fields; document fonts are not used.

2) absolutely not. Font licenses generally mean you must own the font before you can edit with it. Acrobat won’t edit even fonts with that license unless the font is locally installed. This marks a truce with the font makers, who threatened to block the use of their fonts in PDF completely. Note that you can’t generally share the fonts either.
