how do I install Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017, bought in-store

I bought in-store ADOBE ACROBAT STANDARD 2017.  I am so disappointed they've stopped including disk with purchase.  I have Serial#.  Now I'm totally lost on how to install the thing.  Someone told me "DC" stands for cloud (the black logo icon is DC?  The white/red logo icon is Standard version?) and monthly membership tied to it I think . . . I do NOT want cloud, don't understand it, don't want it.  I downloaded 'Adobe Acrobat' install from somewhere and it proceeded to uninstall something, I cancelled it.  Why is this so difficult to download ADOBE ACROBAT STANDARD 2017 on my new W10 computer!?  Frustrated to the hilt.  Can someone help me?

    No idea what you mean by "let it rip deleting files" or why you cancelled your download but you can download Acrobat Standard 2017 from this page: Download Acrobat 2017

    I’d say so, except for special PDF standards (PDF/X etc). Acrobat uses Word dor much of the work, it isn’t actually a converter.

    There is no trial for Acrobat Standard.

    That's a pity. Can one assume that the conversion to Word in the Standard version will be the same as in the Pro?

    They are the same installer. They check your license and install the bit you paid for.

    I can imagine, but we tried to install a trial version, we don't have a license yet.

      Hello, did anyone also try to download the STANDARD version? I tried and after installation it appeared to be the PRO version. Still looking for the Standard version to trial...

      Do not download the trial. It’s the subscription product.

      Why did you cancel it? It sounds as if you were doing the right thing, assuming you were following instructions in the package. What does the package actually SAY? To make sure you get the right stuff we need to help you follow those instructions.

      By the way, the cloud part isn't included with the permanent license. It is included with a monthly subscription, but it's optional. Check carefully which one you paid for.
