How to OCR entire PDF file?

Is there a way to run OCR on an entire PDF file? I have old scanned documents with hundreds of pages that I would like to make searchable.

Right now, if I go to Edit PDF, it will run OCR on each individual page that I scroll to. But that is inefficient. What are the steps to run OCR on the entire PDF?
