How to rename a file using text within the file

New Here ,
Jun 02, 2020 Jun 02, 2020

I have hundreds of files with 34 charachter file names.  I want to rename them using a uniform piece of text form each file.  For example, the pdf I attached would be renamed 108.

Thanks for the help!

There isn't any functionality for this built into Acrobat. You would need to write a custom Action (batch) script to search for the text and save the file. This would not "rename" the file, it would just create a copy with a new name.

Please contact me through  these forums or at www.windjack.com , if you need help with this.

I think the best way to do it would be with a stand-alone tool, as it can rename files (which Acrobat can't) and also handle large quantities of files in a single process (which Acrobat has problems with). If you're interested in hiring someone to create such a tool for you feel free to contact me privately via [try6767 at gmail.com].
