Yes, that happens frequently. Have you tried highlighting it without running OCR? That will let you use the freeform highlighter tool. You can hold down shift + click to draw a straight line. Of corse, you'd need to do that for every single line. Or you can increase the kine thickness and just draw really thick lines.
