Hi All,

In Adobe Acrobat/Reader, you can find out the fonts used in the document.

Is there a way I can find the location of certain font in the document ? for example in which page/paragraph/ line.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Use this reference as your starting point:

Not with Reader. You'll need more sophisticated tools. To start, you'll need Acrobat Pro, which has a content view.

This tool will show exactly which text uses which font:

PDF CanOpener Plug-in is Windows Only, but if you have Acrobat Pro for Mac, then you can use the "Edit PDF" tool panel to see which text uses which font.

In addition to the good information above, you can use the Output Preview tool to identify the font (Select Object Inspector as the Preview choice).

There is no Find Font tool in Acrobat, as there is in InDesign and Illustrator, but you can open your PDF in Illustrator, which will allow you to use the Find Font tool (sometimes). Do not save the PDF in Illustrator, as it may break your PDF.

The Output Preview tool is not available for Acrobat Reader.

To find fonts with Acrobat Pro you can use the Preflight tool, as shown in this topic:
