Latest Adobe Acrobat Fails to Install

Caution, please:  I'm new to the world of Adobe, beyond FlashPlayer.  🙂

Installed I _can_ use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Continuous Release 2018.009.20044.  But with MacUpdate I _can_ get v2018.009.20050.  [This is a very-minor Upgrade, yes?]

I download all >[300 MB] of it.  When I try to install it, instead of installing, I see

           Adobe Acrobat

           The installation encountered an unexpected error & the patch could not be applied.

           Please refer to /private/var/log/install.log for details.

                                                                [But I find No Such File!  😞 ]

Also I see, this:

                                                                    The Installation Failed

                                   The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.  [How Informative?]

                                     CONTACT  THE  SOFTWARE  MANAGER  FOR  ASSISTANCE.

You read my request of ASSISTANCE, here.  Thank you, Adobe.  🙂

P. S.  I used my hard-wired connection to the Internet, to ensure that the sentences above were Centered, horizontally.  Not-being Pressed for Time is a God-send.  🙂

Hello Dr. Robert,

Sorry for the delay in response to your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove any previous version of Acrobat, reboot the machine and install the Acrobat Pro DC.

Cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Acrobat Pro DC Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X

Hello BobNovy,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are not able to install the latest Acrobat Pro DC, Is that correct?

Please try to repair the installation files of Acrobat Pro DC from Help>Repair installation files(only for Windows). Restart the machine after repair and see if this brings any difference.

If the issue persists, please use the Acrobat cleaner tool to remove any leftover  files of Acrobat Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Restart the machine and then install the Acrobat Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X

Hello, Anand Sri?  I use an iMac [with a _fast_ Solid-state Drive.  :-) ]  Your reply was about PCs, only.

I start to think that I shall feel Happy with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, v2018.009.20044.  [I've been _trying_ to install v2018.009.20050.]
