Need to Reinstall Adobe Acrobat X Pro

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard (CD for windows) in 2013. When I installed there was an issue with the Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Adobe sent me a link to download and it installed and worked fine for several years. I recently got a new hard drive on my laptop. When I tried to open a PDF I noticed that my Abode Acrobat X Pro was gone. Since Pro on the CD doesn't work, I tried to download from the internet. It didn't accept my serial number. My serial number is valid as I see it on my adobe account. I called Adobe and they said that since it is an old version, they don't support it and my only option is to seek help on the forum. I hope someone can help me install it or else I'll have to purchase the new version.

Correct answer Dov Isaacs

You call Adobe Customer Support back and ask to speak with a supervisor.

Although Adobe no longer supports technical questions technical issues associated with Acrobat 10, it certainly does support issues associated with installation with regards to acceptance of serial numbers and activation for perpetually-licensed products. Whoever you spoke to was terribly undertrained. These forums cannot assist you with serial number and activation issues and no one should have sent you here since we can't help you.

Hi Barcellonaisabella,

As per the description above, you are not able to activate the Acrobat Pro 10, Is that correct?

Please download the setup of CS 6 and use the Custom installation process, and choose Acrobat only, and continue the installation process and use the serial key for activation.

You can use the link to download CS 6 Design Standard: Download Adobe Creative Suite 6 applications

For more information, you may refer to the following link: Resolve connection errors with Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite applications

Hope this helps, and keep us posted with the results.
