Question

No pdf file was created because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error.

We have a user using the latest version of Illustrator and Acrobat DC on his Macbook Pro. He is trying to combine images and keeps receiving the error "No pdf file was created  because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error."

We have uninstalled and reinstalled both Illustrator and Acrobat DC. Re-ran the combine and 9 out of 10 times it fails.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Hi everyone,

Adobe Acrobat DC and Reader DC official update (2019.021.20056) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. If you want, you may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.

More information about this release is here:https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/continuous/dccontinuousoct2019qfe3...

Please try it out and let us know your feedback!

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi,

You mentioned 9 out 10 times it fails.

Can you provide more details for the 1 out 10 times that seemed to work? Did you wrote down any technical notes of the steps you were following?

Can you please provide operating system and Adobe Acrobat versions that you are using please.

Thank you.
