Portrait and landscape view issue

I frequently have files with both portrait and landscape pages. I have set all views to "Fit Width". As long as I scroll through portrait sections, I have no problems but, when I hit a page in landscape and then scroll to a portrait page either before or after, I get large frames to both sides like it is still in landscape mode. This is quite frustrating as I want "fit width" to be my default for both portrait and landscape. Also, for some reason, I am getting my bookmarks set as "custom" which I then have to reset to "Fit Width." Help, please.

I'm wondering if you are viewing this doc in scrolling view.  If so, it would involve showing parts of a portrait and a landscape page in the view panel together.  See if you get the desired reult by clicking the single page view button.

My best,

Dave
