If you've accidentally selected Adobe PDF from your available printer list, you'll get a Save as dialog box as well.  Can't tell you how many times this has happened to me, and the Save As dialog box was buried under a few windows too.

In the print dialog, click on the Advanced button and ascertain that the Print to File option is not checked. If it is, uncheck and press OK to get back to the print dialog and printing should now work. The only other situation that could cause this problem is if somehow your printer driver has had its “printer port” changed to point to port FILE: in which case, you need to reconfigure that particular driver.
