Question Adobe DC 2015 End of Support

A message popped up when opening my Adobe Acrobat Pro that I purchased in June 2016. It advises Adobe will no longer provide technical support, including product and/or security updates, for my product.  I've spent almost an hour trying to find out what product I need to select to upgrade to and I've tried the chat option and am getting nowhere.  Can anyone here help me know what I need to do?  I really like the version I have now and it does everything I need. I don't want to have to pay a huge price for bells and whistles in Adobe or the Cloud that I don't need.  I just want to keep what I have and know it's secure to being hacked.  Thanks for any assistance!

If you want to upgrade you have two options, basically:

- Stick with the "perpetual" license option and upgrade to Acrobat 2017, which will be retired on 6/6/2022, and it's not clear whether or not it will have a new version following it, and if so when it will be released.

- Switch to the subscription model and get Acrobat DC. The basic functionality of the "cloud" version is the same as the other versions and it's NOT installed on the cloud, but on your local computer. In fact, you don't have to use any cloud-based services when using it if you don't wish to. The main advantage of this version is that it will always keep you up-to-date, as long as you have a compatible OS, of course.

try67 - thanks so much!  I found an option for an Acrobat Pro 2017 for an upgrade license which is affordable as a one-time purchase which is similar to what I've had.  So I'll likely go with that once we get closer to April.  Hopefully that will work.  Do you know if I just keep what I have without any update?  It's just frustrating to have to change a product that's been working so well for me and not know how difficult it will be to install and then get used to.  So far, with any upgrade I've had to get, there's been some loss of functionality and I have to figure work arounds or just let go of what worked well.  So I 'd rather stay with what I've got if that's possible?

I don't think you would be able to use the new license in the old application. And if you did, that would not solve your problem of not getting any more updates, as the old application will still not be updated, even if you have a new license for it. In fact, if you do that you don't need the new license at all. Just stick with what you have.
