Question

"TouchUp Object tool" Acrobat Pro DC

The company I work for purchased Acrobat DC Pro after one of our customer recommended it to remove watermarks.

They said to remove the watermarks we need to navigate to "Advanced Editing > TouchUp Object Tool" > Click on watermark > Delete. I can't seem to find anything labeled as "Advanced Editing" or "TouchUp Object Tool" and at this point I'm wondering if we even purchased the correct software.

You'd think I should be able to remove the watermark using the "Edit PDF > Watermark > Remove" button, however I don't think this watermark was placed using Acrobat because it's saying that it can't find any watermarks.

The advice you had was based on a version of Acrobat older than 10, hence more than 9 years old. Many versions on now. Editing has been completely rewritten. It is now more friendly for inexperienced users, and much less friendly for prepress. You might find Edit Object in the Print Production Tools some help.

Since this message will be available forever, I do invite all readers to consider carefully the legality of removing watermarks which were put there to make you purchase something - I mention this because getting around licensing is one of our favourite questions.
