I have the same issue.  I have ADOBE XI PRO installed on 2 PCs.  One is wtill working, the other acts as if 'DC' installed over it, and wants me to pay, will not even allow the use of the trial.  I am completely unable to produce work.  I dont want DC, never asked for it.  I want my older version I paid $150 for.

Correct answer kglad

after securing your xi serial number properly uninstall all acrobat and reader versions.

if win, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

reinstall your acrobat xi and activate with your serial number

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!
