Rest/SOAP API Services for Acrobat Pro DC OCR

Hi,

We have a requirement where we will pass a file(jpg, tif, pdf etc) to OCR system through a service and in return the OCR system will extract the text from the file and will send that text in response of that service request.
Does Acrobat Pro DC supports this kind of requirement ?

Thanks!

Hi, my company ordered "Acrobat Pro DC OCR" and we are looking forward using it (or any other Adobe OCR tool) for (ideally) OCR-ing documents locally and exporting the results to disk in a kind of json or csv. We could also work with a cloud solution, if needed..
Can you give us advice here, please? Thanks in advance for any hint!

This is not possible with Adobe Acrobat.

Hi Ajayk,

Adobe Acrobat Pro does OCR. The settings can be customized as to how you do the OCR. You can get a 7-day free trial of Acrobat Pro to test it out. If you have questions as to the settings, start a new thread and we can help further.

I’m not sure what your acronyms Rest/SOAP API refer to.

I have moved this from Adobe Creative Cloud to Scanning & OCR.

No.

What you describe sounds like a server application. In addition to this interface not being available, you also cannot use Acrobat on a server (or in a server like environment). That’s for technical and legal reasons. Check the EULA for more information.
