Text Fields Not Copying from One PDF to Another

In Prepare Form mode, I'm trying to recreate the text fields that are presently in one PDF and put the same text fields into a new form. However, when I copy multiple fields from one PDF and try to paste them on another PDF it will only paste one field vs all of them. There is no security on the docs that I can see. Any ideas? This is super painful when I have hundreds of fields to copy over. Thanks

You should try the other way: open the PDF containing form fields, open the page/thumbnail panel, then use "Replace page" and Save as.

The layout will be updated but form fields, comments and metadata stays untouched.

Holy-moly! That saved me hours of work...each time. It didn't fix the specific copy/paste issue per se', but it was a much better solution for what I needed to do and solved my problems. Thank you-Thank you-Thank you!

That's strange, because it's never acted that way for me. Does it happen when you copy to just a certain PDF, or all PDFs that you've tried?

Sometimes when I copy multiple text fields from a different PDF it will work and paste correctly from one, so I know that the form is "capable" of allowing it. I've tested various things- If I copy the fields from the PDF that wouldn't paste correctly on the other PDF and test by copying and pasting on that same document, it works fine. It will also paste fine on other documents as well. Further, pasting from other documents, sometimes it will paste them and it will transpose the copied cells. It is not just a singular PDF that this happening to so it is very odd and happens often. It makes no difference if I restart Adobe either. Very odd. Thanks
