WerFault.Exe When Starting Adobe

New Here ,
Dec 27, 2017 Dec 27, 2017

Hey there.  Just purchased Adobe Standard 2017.  Have a new computer running on Windows 10.  Installed Adobe and the error message pops up as "WerFault.exe - Application Error - The instruction at 0x00000000726697E1 referenced memory at 0X00000000007A.  The memory could not be read." Click ok to terminate the program.

So I then repaired Adobe, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe and same thing.

Help Asap!!!

Hello TheTravelGuru,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, as per the description above, you are getting an error message "WerFault.exe - Application Error - The instruction at the 0x00000000726697E1 referenced memory at 0X00000000007A.  The memory could not be read." Click ok to terminate the program while using Acrobat Standard, Is that correct?

Please try to disable the protected mode once for testing purpose and see if this brings any difference, to disable the Protected mode, refer to https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783

Please enable the protected mode back for improved security.

If the issue persists, please use the Acrobat Cleaner tool to remove the Acrobat, then reboot the machine. Check for any pending updates of OS and install it, and reboot the machine again.

Then download and install the Acrobat Standard DC from Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
