Question

Why does PDF form data does not display on mobile devices within gmail?

I've created an interactive PDF. The form data displays as it should when I view it on a desktop computer however when I display the PDF in gmail on a mobile device, it doesn't display the form data.

I've tried sending the filled out form to non-gmail mobile and it displays. Just not gmail mobile. (The only mobile devices I've tried are on iPhone and an iPad)

You may need to save the attachment and open with an app that can handle PDF forms.

I currently have the form set up to download to the user's computer. They fill out the form and then upload it from the web site. The web site sends an email to my client's email. My client uses gmail on mobile. He doesn't see the form filled out. When I view on desktop gmail... it works great.

There are many PDF viewers and they work in different ways. Adobe don't make them if control them (except their own apps) Some support forms, some don't, still others damage forms. App behaviour is also different between systems.  So it's normal to find some apps working and others not. You won't be able to change what the app on iOS does; you need to test with the same software and system as the client.
