Question

ZOOM : Bug or "feature"?

When using Acrobat (any version) on MacOS I can use:

- "cmd +" =  zoom in, and

- "cmd -" =  zoom out.

When using Acrobat DC on Windows 10:

- "ctrl +" =  zoom in, and

- "ctrl -" =  placing a sticky note on the page…!!!

I can't believe this is "by design", can someone confirm it to me?

Thank you

I did it last week.

I recovered the Optimize PDF function but it had no effect for Ctrl -, it still create a note whether I use the "6" key or the numeric keypad.

Hey JR Boulay

Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204012) and try using the application there and check.

Let us know how it goes.

I guess I should take this as an answer to my question "Bug or feature?"…

😞

If ever at least one person could explain to me why it's not completely absurd I would be eternally grateful to him.

JR, I don't see the problem with Control - on Windows. It zooms out just as expected.

Q: do you also have zoom problems when using the scroll wheel on your mouse + Control?

Ctrl + mouse wheel is OK.

In any case, thank you for confirming that this is not the expected behavior.

Hey JR_Boulay

We are sorry for the trouble.  As described,  "ctrl -" =  placing a sticky note on the page. We have tried to reproduce the issue on our end and its working fine. What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC installed on your Windows 10? To check the version of the application please use the link (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html)

Make sure you have the latest version 20.006.20034 installed. Go to Help  >  Check for Updates. Also please try to repair installation (For Windows) Go to Help > Repair Installation.

If it still doesn't work please try the following steps:

Keep us posted with the results.

Regards

Amal
