I have a book that was professionally formatted and saved as a PDF. I need to make a few editing changes prior to my next printing however Adobe cloud says I cannot edit because it says "this document has been signed and cannot be edited." I am trying this program for the purpose of editing my PDF books. What can I do?
It could be the person who professionally formatted the doc that signed it. I don't recognize the signature. It isn't a name but says "Invalid Signature. Signed by Pre-flight Ticket."
I have tried saving the PDF to another name and reopening but the same signature issue is there. I have no idea what to do about this. I can convert to a word doc but it completely messes up the formatting I already paid for and it would take a lot of work to reformat it.

Hi kaleahsong,
If the PDF has been signed by a digitally certificate or certified, the PDF has been locked to prevent changes or allow the detection of changes. Signatures for PDF's were developed for commercial and legal documents and are covered by laws of many countries.
You need to have the signer to try to remove the signature or certification, work on an unsigned copy, or edit the source document.

If a document has been signed, and I need to add my signature, how do I unlock my document to add the signature and relock the document?
Thanks,
