Cannot embed fonts in my pdf. Please help!!

Hi, many years ago I wrote a small booklet in Adobe Pagemaker, but now cannot find the folder containing the original file. However, I have the pdf of the booklet. I have tried to have a few copies printed via Lulu but it states I can't proceed as one of the fonts isn't embedded. Any ideas how I can get around this problem?? Best wishes, Mark.

Possibly, you can embed the fonts in the PDF with a current version of Acrobat DC Pro, which has a utility in the Preflight panel to embed the required fonts.

But you'll have to know which fonts are needed, including the missing one, and have them installed on your current computer. See this older solution for reference: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-sdk-discussions/can-you-embed-fonts-in-a-pdf-after-the-pdf-ha...

To determine which fonts are required, go to File / Document Properties / Fonts tab and it will list all the fonts called for in the PDF. Locate copies of those fonts and be sure they're installed on your system.

Open the Preflight Tools panel (right hand side) under a group panel called PDF Standards. Open the Preflight section and follow the steps shown below.

The only missing font is one called JohnHandyLETPlain (an old Letraset font) and it appears it was used for literally one letter, which is the large M on Page 2. If you still have the font around and can load it on your system, you can Edit PDF in Acrobat and select the errant "M" (which is currently assigned the generic Adobe Sans MM)  and replace it with John Handy, or any other font you choose if you don't have John Handy. Once you save the file, it should embed that new font.
