Hello, I'm trying to change the name that shows on comments in Acrobat Adobe Reader (I'm using Windows 10). When I follow the instructions and go to the comment properties dialog box, and then the the General tab, to specify my name in the Author field, the Author field is greyed out, and does not allow me to make any changes. Do you have any suggestions to change this please? Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for reaching out.

The name that shows in comments by default uses the username setup on the machine. However, you may change the name under the comment properties window.

As the option is greyed out, please uncheck the option "Always use Log-in Name for Author Name" under Edit menu > Preferences > Comments > Making Comments  and click on the OK button to save the changes. Relaunch the applicaiton and then check if you can change the author name.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
