Combine large number of files in Adobe Acrobat Pro

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro.  When trying to combine 1,000+ files, it only will do 335 files.  the size of the 1,000+ files is 756MB.  The size of the combined file is only 74.1MB.  I've been able to combine large numbers of files in the past but there seems to be some sort of limit now?

Could you please let us know what happens when you try to combine the files? Do you get any error messages?

If yes, share the screenshot of the error message. Try removing a file one by one from the list of the files to check if the issue occurs due to a particular PDF.

I am experiencing similiar issues.I am trying to combine 2,491 files that toal 111MB. When select all files, only adds 380. So I add files and select remainder and only 378 files are added. The I add files and select remainder and get the error that the next file does not exist. After clicking ok then it says next file does not exist...

I get same error   when tring to combine 6778  files    total size 500mb 

adds approx 370    if add any more get the   File doesnt exist error

There are some limitations when you combine files on Acrobat online. Acrobat online tools support PDF files of 100MB or less, except for the PDF to Word and PDF to PPT tools, which support files up to 200MB, and the Compress PDF tool, which lets you compress a PDF that is 2GB or smaller. 
When using the Combine PDFs tool, you can create a merged PDF of up to 1,500 pages. You can combine up to 100 files, each 500 pages long.

Thank you for your reply but the limits are far too restrictive - I managed to merge all the files to one using a sorry to say free merge tool took about 25 mins as there was 6777 files of various sizes and pages something that a paid version of Adobe should be able to do easily without all the restrictions
