Compressing PDF Not Working

I have an enormous file (159MB contract) from a customer that I've been attempting to compress to no avail. It takes a long time to upload, which is understandable, but when it finishes, I click "compress" and it begins. That, too, takes a little while, but as it finally gets to 99%, instead of completing so I can download, it seems to quit working and the page refreshes to the initial page where you select a file or drag and drop a file you want to compress. So I've attempted to wait this process out 3 times over the last 2 days only to have it just close in the end. Is there anything I can do? This is a bit time-sensitive, so if there is another way to compress the file size so I can review without error or freezing, I'd love to know about it.

Are you using Adobe Acrobat or Adobe's online tools for this? If it's the online tools, this is not the correct forum, but I can move your question, so please let us know.

Oh, I didn't know there was another forum. I used Adobe's online tools for this.

Could you please confirm if the issue occurs with a particular PDF? If yes, would you mind sharing the PDF with us so we can check it on our end? 
Try using the application on the new incognito window. Check if that helps.
