I have a pdf file which is in Russian Cyrillic text which I wish to convert to a word document. Cyrillic text is not one of the options.

    Hi graymac,

You're correct that Russian isn't one of the languages supported for OCR in Export PDF or PDF Pack. However, it is available for OCR in Acrobat if you're working with a PDF created from a scanned document. If you don't have Acrobat, you can try it for free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html. To run OCR in Acrobat, you choose Optimize Scanned PDF, select Make Searcable (apply OCR), and then click Edit to choose Russian.

    Best,
