convert to ZIP file

How can I reduce the size of an 8MB file in order to forward it by email to another recipient? 

Online Acrobat.com retrieval won't work for this person  - I HAVE TO email it as an attachment.

      I'm sorry that Acrobat.com wasn't an option for your recipient. Typically, your operating system allows you can compress files and create more manageable .zip files. On Mac OS, for example, you select the file in the Finder, and choose File > Compress <filename>. Here's some information about compressing files on Windows: System requirements | Acrobat.com
