I forgot my password for a password protected document. How can I fix it?

Thank you for reaching out.

If you are referring to a document password, then it is not possible to change the password. To change the password, the original password is required. There is nothing much that can be done.

To reset the Adobe account password, refer to the information provided on the following page: https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/change-or-reset-password.html.

Also, in the future, create a Security Policy (Protect toolbar) and add the Encrypt tool to you toolbar. The policy (ies) will remember your password for you.
