Forgot my password for a password protected document

I forgot my password for a password protected document.  How can I fix it?

Make the document again, or remember it. Adobe do not offer a back door to protected documents.

Also, in the future, create a Security Policy (Protect toolbar) and add the Encrypt tool to you toolbar. The policy (ies) will remember your password for you.

If you are referring to a document password, then it is not possible to change the password. To change the password, the original password is required. There is nothing much that can be done.
