Question

How can I change the default settings for the text box in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

I want to change the default settings (font, font size, color) for the "add text" editing tool in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I've read suggestions about adding the text, highlighting it, changing it to the specifications I want, then inputting the command of CTRL+E to get to the "properties bar". However, when I bring up the properties bar, it indicates no text was selected, even though the text was definitely selected. That's where I get stopped and can't proceed further. HELP!

This only applies to the Add Text commenting tool, not to the tool you'd find under Tools - Content Editing.

It's not possible to change the default settings for that one (at least not in Acrobat XI).

Well, that's a bummer! Being able to default the settings for the "Add Text" tool would save A LOT of time for me! Oh, well! Thanks for your response!
