Hi marioo7818309,

To download a file from your Acrobat.com online account, do the following:

  1. Log in to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files.
  2. Select the file that you want to download.
  3. Click the Download link at the top of the file list.

Your file will be downloaded to the Downloads folder on your computer.

Best,

Sara

Hi @Joanne33842607di8l,

Thanks for letting us know that you were able to work out the issue.

The solution only works if your files are already stored in the cloud storage.

If they are saved in the internal storage, it wouldn't be possible to simply pull out a file from one device's storage into another until uploaded to the cloud.

Hey Souvik S S.

So Adobe is forcing the user to save the file/s to Adobe cloud first and only then you are able to download.
This adds further steps to the user's work flow and forces the saving of private information to the Adobe Cloud where Adobe is able to process data for product development and possibly big-data farming.
Please note that this is quite possibly an illegal practice by Adobe leading to further legal challenegs against the company and employees.

Hi iD3Z1GN,

If you are using the application, the files are not saved in the application itself. They are saved on the device or other cloud storage. That is why there is no download option in the Adobe Acrobat application. You can download files from their native location.

Uploading the files to Adobe Cloud is only suggested when you need the file on multiple platforms to easily access it. Also, the files do not automatically upload to the cloud. You can upload them manually using the options provided if necessary.

It would be helpful if you could share some screen recordings of how you open the file. This will help us understand it better, and we can share the suggestions with the team.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

so where is that "download link".  Can you point to it ?

Is there an easier way to download a file that is sent through email rather than opening the cloud version on the web ?

Hi @Hans28228229djmr,

Hope you are doing well.

To download a file that is saved on the Cloud Library, you can go to https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/documents/

click on the three dots on the extreme right of the file name you want to download-> click on download on the drop down that comes up.

Hope this helps.

-Souvik.

@morgane35377122nz0y Thanks for sharing the screenshot.

The section where you are in the publish section, or to better frame it, the files that appear here are shared links and cannot be downloaded simply by clicking the three dots.

To download files from there, open the file-> then click the download icon or save a local copy.

Hope this helps.

How do I download multiple files from cloud - I get a zip error for all my files in one go - how many can I download at a time please.

What is the point of uploading files if I cannot get them back easily?

What exactly is happening in Feburary - are you deleting all my cloud files - in one email it says no, in the help file online it says yes

I was an Adobe fan - now looking at alternatives, very disappointed

Hi @MattDurcan,

I tried going to https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/docuements/ and tried downloading a folder directly to my system.

It took some time to complete creating the zip file due to the number of files within the folder but it went through.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot or screen recording of the issue with me for a better understanding and assistance?

Unfortunately the "Help team" in these forums are not developers and they can't create a DONLOAD button.

Clearly Adobe's game is to make sure the user fills their Adobe Cloud as much as possible so that the user becomes even more dependant on an Adobe subscription. No one is stupid or incapable at Adobe, they have a plan to make it extremely difficult for you to leave the platform and they have proven that they can't be trusted.
Adobe is not going to change course so its up to us to create a plan and move on... but in the mean time we can always voice our opinion 😡

I am still having massive issues with Adobe Acrobat's inability to "Download" meaning: any files I created on Acrobat via my iPhone is then automatically uploaded to the extremely confusing Acrobat files viewer (if you can call it that) from there I CON NOT DOWNLOAD the file I created to my Hard Drive... unless I "save as" and save a copy.
The lack of clarity and extreme complication to a simple process is astounding even for Adobe's standards.
Clearly this is a desperate attempt to force the user to use the hapless Adobe Cloud

Hi iD3Z1GN,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

If you are creating a PDF on an Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile application, it will not automatically save it in Acrobat Online storage. You will need to manually upload it.

Please share the screen recording of the complete workflow you do and how you are not able to download the file. Share the screenshot if you get any error messages. It will help us to understand the issue and provide correct information.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Sorry but I shouldn't have to re-create anything for the purpose of having some kind of "second hand" advisory to a major WORKFLOW ISSUE created by a policy to force users into a process beneficial to Adobe NOT TO THE PAYING CUSTOMER. How many people work at Adobe? - the request is simple: MAKE IT EASIER TO DOWNLOAD A PDF FILE CREATED WITH ACROBAT (yes, all platforms, in all situations, simple)
Thank you in davance.

Hi iD3Z1GN,

If you are creating a PDF in the Acrobat mobile application on your iOS device and wish it to be accessible on all platforms, please upload the file to Acrobat Cloud. Once the file is uploaded, you can access it via desktop, web, and mobile applications. You may refer to the steps suggested in the following help document: https://adobe.ly/3SaCKjU

If you are referring to something else, we will need more information about your workflow.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

The link you propose talks about "Save a copy of PDF" and other randoms. I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED FOR A SIMPLE WAY TO DOWNLOAD A PDF - DOWNLOAD (not save a copy)
I repeat the word DOWNLOAD as in "an easy and simple way to DOWNLOAD via the use of one click" from any Acrobat app either iOS or MAC OS. Not a convoluted mess of steps that create files all over the place.
Have a read of all the "happy" users in this thread. We are sick of this rubbish from Adobe and even more sick of the FAKE help provided.

It is extremely aggravating that there is no signposting on the local saved version of Acrobat (ie on my Mac) that I have to go online to download the PDF!! Consider when one is asked fora resume or CV: the most common use case request is to upload, not share a link!

Hi matthew37123160dj2n,

Thank you for reaching out.

You can access a document directly from the desktop application if you have saved it in Acrobat Online storage. In Acrobat, go to the Home tab > Adobe Cloud Storage > Your Files.

If you are referring to something else, please provide more information about that issue here.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
