How do I send a pdf to Word to edit?

I signed up for Acrobat so that I could edit a PDF thru Word. How do I do that?

I am getting the following error with every document I try to export to word or excel:

The file has not been processed.

An error has occurred which stopped the processing of the PDF.

What can I do to fix this?

Hi adassow,

Do the PDF files that you're trying to convert fall into any of the categories below?

PDF Portfolios
PDF files that require a password to open the document
PDF files generated from Adobe Illustrator
PDF files that have permissions applied to prevent printing, copying, or altering of the content
XFA-based forms

Any of these could produce the error that you're seeing...
