How to integrate STL in PDF ?

Hello,

I have seen plenty of literature of how to integrate U3D scenes in PDF, but not much about STL.

According to Supported file formats in Acrobat 3D and Acrobat 3D Toolkit - Support Knowledgebase it is supported, but everytime I try, I get the infamous "A 3D data parsing error has occurred".

Is there any way to have more information on what is wrong ? (Log files,...)

I tried to build an outputter so that our internal representation can be outputted in U3D format but this attempt failed as well, without even being able to display if the U3D file is itself OK or not.
