Macbook/Acrobat/Adobe

Before I purchase Acrobat or Adobe?, I need to know it will work for what I need.  I have a 6 year macbook (MacOsX 10.6.8).  Is it possible to generate a fillable pdf, enter the data, save it, open it up in the future and add/delete data and save again?  Do I need adobe or acrobat?  Assume complete ignorance when it comes to pdfs.  I have a fillable pdf but I can only save a blank copy, no entered data.

    Hi venomgal,

If you'd like to create fillable forms, then Acrobat XI is a great choice. It is compatible with your version of Mac OS (Tech specs | Adobe Acrobat XI Pro).

Here's some basic information about working with forms in Acrobat, so you can get an idea of what's involved: Form creator | Adobe Acrobat XI

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

You can download a trial of Acrobat XI Pro, fully functional for 30 days.

Ok, signed up for 30 day trial and it worked.  Except I am concerned about "save to online account" part, as I prefer to save it to my desktop only.  This is a one page medical progress note and I cannot have patient information disseminated.   Is there a way to opt out of "save to online account".  How secure is online account?

The online accounts are very secure. But I can see why you would feel more comfortable saving directly to your hard disk. Does Acrobat not give you the option to save to your computer? That should be the default? Can you tell me what steps you're using to save the file from Acrobat?

    Thanks!

Tried to send screen shot of online saving. I do not see it in discussion.
