Print to File creates files that I can't open

I print to file, and the file suffix is "pdn" not "pdf". I am then unable to open the file, getting an error message.

In addition, when I create the PDF on the Adobe website, about 50% of the time the original layout of text and image elements are jumbled around on the pdf version.

HELP!!

I am paying monthly for a service that has been 50% functional!

Thanks Sara for your input. I discovered the "save as pdf" function and

    that is working wonderfully!

    Hi SixFour225,

When you say you're "printing to file" where are you doing that? (Typically, "print to file" is the act of printing a file to an output format that a printer can use, such as PostScript.)

I'm also curious about the .pdn files--that is an image format that Paint.NET creates. If you are trying to create PDF files, but are getting .pdn files instead, there may a file-association issue, in which your operating system thinks that .pdn is the proper extension for PDF files.

    Best,

    Sara
