Hello I recently started receiving a "conversion failure" message when attempting to convert a pdf to an excel spreadsheet. This first started occuring after attempting to convert a rather large file. I have tried converting using both Adobe Reader and the online version. Please Help!

Hello Arib,

We're sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. As per the description above, you are getting a conversion failure error message, is that correct?

Are you getting the error message while converting one specific PDF or with all the PDF file? If a PDF a file is smaller than 100 MB, Export PDF may not be able to convert it if it's overly complex. For example, a file that has a large number of pages, or contains many different fonts and graphics, could be too complex for Export PDF to process before the service times out.

Have you tried converting other PDF files? In Adobe Reader, sign out and reboot the machine, sign back in Adobe Reader and check for any pending updates of Adobe Reader from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after updating Adobe Reader and try exporting the PDF file. You may also try through the URL https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf with your Adobe ID and password on a browser like Chrome, or Firefox, or Safari.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
