"Won't run" really doesn't tell us much...  What exactly happens when you try?

I was able to install the program on my computer. (Only glitch was that it asked for a .dll file for Vista which I'm not running.

I was able to activate the program ok.  When I try to convert any MS Office document to .pdf, it appears to start the process but just doesn't actually produce a .pdf file.  No error message or anything...

I see.  I think you may get quicker help if you post your problem in the appropriate Acrobat forum (e.g. Creating, Editing & Exporting PDFs).
