Hi,
As I try to market my business (via Mailchimp that doesn't allow attachments) I'm noticing when I add a link to a document, the receiver gets the whole ADOBE view instead of just seeing the document. I have the comments turned off, but the receiver still has the option to comment. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you,
Catherine

Thank you for reaching out.
When you send a link to a document created using the Adobe application, it will open on the platform. However, if you have turned off the comments, users should be unable to add comments to the same document. The recipients can save a copy of the document and then add comments to it.
Could you please share a screenshot of how the document opens from the email? Also, try adding the link again with the comments option turned off and sending it to your alternate email to check. If you still get the same results, share the video of your steps. We will get it checked.
Feel free to let us know if you need help or have any questions.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

Hi @catherine_3040,
Thanks for the response. This gives us more clarity on the issue.
So, adding to the points by Meenakshi, the view you see (per the first screenshot), is because of the link you are sharing.
The file is saved on Acrobat web, and the link re-directs the user to Adobe Acrobat's web portal, thus the Acrobat view.
The second screenshot shows a PDF being opened in Gmail's native PDF viewer. The difference is because the attachment is a whole file added to the email while the link will take the recipient to the Acrobat Web page.
Hope I was able to clarify on this.
Regards,
Souvik.
