Why do I get the error "Your file could not be uploaded because it contains a virus" when uploading to Acrobat.com or Adobe Send?

I have been trying to upload a zip file containing a packaged Adobe Illustrator document with linked images only to Acrobat.com. It has failed more than half a dozen times with the error "Your file could not be uploaded because it contains a virus." (there are no viruses). I also get an error when trying to send the same file that one of my files couldn't be uploaded. Please try again later.

The other thread on this had no real solution, as it just fixed itself.

Thanks for you response. Since this happened a while back, I really don't remember what I did to correct the issue. I did use the built in Mac OS X compressor (right click -> fly out menu -> Compress). It is interesting to think that a compressed file full of packaged Adobe application documents would cause so much issue.
