Compressing file error

I keep attempting to compress a pdf file but a error screen pops up saying it cannot complete this request and that I should contact support. I did that and they sent me here.

Perhaps they sent you here because your version is too old for your system, or too old for support. What version of Acrobat do you have? What is your system version?
