AdobeSign: Checkmark vs Shaded In Checkboxes

I have created a template on Adobesign which uses approximately 50 checkmarks. The issue is that when the enduser gets the form with various boxes ticked - some of the boxes have check marks and some appear as if they have just been shaded-in.

I would like a cohesive look cannot figure out the difference in these boxes.
