Creating a Signable PDF form

Hello all,

I have a specific project I have been tasked with. My company needs to create a form of acknowledgment that training has been completed. I will create a hypothetical situation below that shows the need:

5 people come to our facility for training. Once complete, we have a form that essentially says "I have received training for (COMPANY) on this date" with a signature line, an email line, and a few checkboxes.

While the form itself is easy to create, the way they must sign it has not been easy to solve. The goal is to pass around an iPad after the training is complete. Once the trainee has filled and signed the form, we will share it with them and ourselves, clear PDF and pass it to the next trainee. The reason this is so problematic is that every solution I can find for Adobe has downsides.

For example, sign & fill will not show any of the forms fields, and it retains the previous persons signature (for some reason the "SAVE TO DEVICE" check is ALWAYS defaulted to on). Both of these issues instantly kill this as a solution, which is unfortunate because it is by far the easiest.

"Adobe Sign" requires us to know the person's email ahead of time, and cannot be passed from person to person and instead must be emailed. I am sure I am missing an easy solution to this, but I would really like to use an Adobe product for the continuity, but am baffled by the fact that an adobe created form is not compatible with an adobe created form filling software.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan,

Hope you are doing well and thank you for reaching out!

We have the checked the workflow you have shared above and it seems you can achieve it using the "Get signature in person" feature provided in Adobe Sign mobile application.

As per your requirement, you can get signature by passing the iPad to the trainee in person. You may create a template and save it in the account. Now, you will need to just add the email address of the trainee at the same time and handover the ipad to get the signature. Once it will be done, the final copy will be sent to both the trainee and you.

You may refer to steps suggested and tutorial shared in the following help document:

Check if that works for you.

Hope the information helps.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Meenakshi,

I appreciate the response. I'm sorry for the delay in responding myself.

My major issues with Adobe Sign in person are:

The app tends to not work a lot. It freezes frequently and often says "unable to send" when preparing the document even though it is sign in person.

The bigger issue that I am looking to avoid though is that I have 5 people that need to sign the document. When I enter 5 emails into adobe sign it wants them all to sign the same document on the same page. Essentially, what I want is that I have a 1 page PDF that I want them all to sign individually. So at the end I would have 5 PDF's exactly the same except their signature.

Does that make sense?
